The inspiration behind this collection was my parents wedding photo. The simple cotton skirts and cotton tops. I added a piece of my style to this collection. Using fabrics that I love working with brocade, Tulle, cotton, and velvet. Nowadays everything is fast paced, i wanted to slow down and remember the good old day as a child watching my mom make clothes using simple cotton. Nothing over the top very simple and timeless. We shot at my late grandparents homestead. In front of my late Grandparents old home which now belongs to my cousin. The reason I choose this location was because I grew up playing in the dirt with all my cousins in front of the house. It brings me comfort to know that there, in that home my father and his siblings were brought up. And he brings tears to my eyes because I wish I knew my grandparents before they left to the Spirit world. This location means a lot to me , it was only use in my Shoot to honor my grandparents. There’s always a story behind all the shoots I do and the clothing I make. I just want to create simple amazing things.
