moon always full

let no atrocity hide from us 

let us see everything

burnt bridge, burnt finger, frightened scurry through night's borders 

every child ever pulled from arms of love

let us love ourselves enough to look

to find our faces on enemy lines 

to seek out the greed in us, the superiority,

the shame, the fear 

it is time to shed it all, leave it in the soil 

it is time to bleed it all, exhale it all 

weep it all, shuck it all, strip it all away

ripe and falling
